SeatSpy
I have often recommended SeatSpy, which until now has been running as a free beta version. Now they have introduced three levels of membership and improved their service even more! The alternative was Reward Flight Finder, which has now been passed by a country mile with these new features. Some of the prices below expire on May 27th, so act fast to lock yourself in…..
So what is SeatSpy?
SeatSpy allows you to be notified rapidly of availability on BA, Virgin and now KLM and Air France for reward seats. They are hoping to be able to add other airlines in a few weeks, starting with US airlines. You can search for availability between set dates and pick certain cabins. So for example if you want to fly to Miami in First Class for Christmas you can be alerted when First Class reward seats are available from between say 15th December and 28th December, or whatever dates you would like. You can select the number of passengers as well, so you are altered when all your party can fly.

The three new tiers are Economy, Premium and First Class.
Economy gives you unlimited searches on BA with daily updates. This service will always be free.
Premium gives you unlimited searches on BA and 4 searches on the other airlines.
You will be notified hourly when seats open up and will probably have the opportunity of grabbing them before Economy members.
You will also have access to their great “Where can I go” search – this allows you to search worldwide for particular dates and any particular cabin class.
Hourly WhatsApp alerts will be added soon. If and when other airlines are added you will be informed and you can then search for them as well.
The cost for this is £2.99 per month, but you can currently get a three month free trial and then pay £1.99 per month for life! But you will need to act before May 27th to become a founder member to get this price.
First Class – this is the best of everything. You have unlimited searches on all airlines.
You also have access to the “Where can I go” search.
The big difference is that you will receive texts and emails to seats becoming available instantly. This ought to allow you to grab them before anyone else. Again instant WhatsApp messages will be added soon.
You will also have access to experience alerts when they are launched for items such as Marriott Moments and Hilton Auctions.
The cost for this is £7.99 per month, but you can currently get this for just £2.99 per month for life! Again you need to upgrade before May 27th to become a founder member at this price for life!
Personally I think it is a no brainer if you are reading this before 27th May to lock yourself in at just £2.99 per month for the unlimited First Class tier. I have been running this for a few days now and it works great. Okay, my chosen seats have no yet become available, but I’m sure they will soon….
